Once again the British Open Championship is upon us, and once again, an inappropriate amount of time will be spent discussing whether or not Rory McIlroy will break his 9 year major drought. For a guy who doesn’t putt well under pressure, Rory didn’t do himself any favors by winning the Genesis Scottish Open this past weekend with back-to-back birdies.
The Irishman will face some tough competition going against a field of John Rahm, Cameron Smith, Scottie Scheffler, Brook Koepka, and many more.
Will Rory break his streak? Will Scottie continue his rein as the world’s best golfer? or will Koepka finally add a Claret jug to his trophy case?
